Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has revealed that he is proud to be a part of the re-energised Arsenal squad.
The Gunners have enjoyed a solid start to the season and it is no surprise that Ramsey is happy to be there.
But the Gunners star said he was not sure what the mood was like at the club, after a 2-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.
“We had a great performance, it was a bit emotional for us, but there’s nothing more important than being in the right place at the right time and we’re just going to enjoy this game,” Ramsey said.
“I’m proud to have played for this club and I’m proud of the guys I’m with and the squad I’m playing with.”
Arsenal lost 3-2 to Everton in their opening Champions League group game and were disappointed by their lack of goals, with Alexis Sanchez’s brace helping them to a point.
“If you look at the stats and the goals we’re conceding, we were the better team, but it’s a different football, you have to work for it and keep working for it,” Ramsey added.
“But you can’t give up and you can only win matches.”
But Ramsey said he did not know whether he would be involved in the game on Sunday.
“It’s very difficult for me,” Ramsey told BBC Sport.
“Obviously, we’re in a difficult position and we have to go and try and win the game but I’m very happy to play with my teammates.”
They are great and I hope they can keep this momentum going and get results.
