Chicago – NHLPA president Joe Louis on Wednesday morning, March 14, 2017.
He was at the White House, and then on the phone with reporters.
He did not answer questions about the ongoing investigation.
He also did not address the lockout.
But here is what he did say:The NFL lockout is over, and it’s not over yet.
And you’ve got to respect that.
The NFL has a long way to go, but the owners have a long time to go.
That’s what they did in New York.
We’ve got some time left in the year to do the right thing, and we’ll see how it plays out.
The NHLPA’s president Joe, who is also a Chicago Bulls fan, says he doesn’t expect a full resolution to the lockout before the season.
He says it is possible that the NHLPA could consider a new collective bargaining agreement.
He does not say when the league will have a deal.
The NHLPA was formed in 1988.
