ISIS’ spokesman in an interview with The New York Times said he did not “wish death” on anyone, adding: “I’m very afraid of being killed.”
“The worst part of it is the fear,” said the spokesman, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani.
“But the more we kill the more death comes.”
The spokesman, whose group is fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria, also said the group “never wanted to kill anyone” and that his group is “very careful.”
“We don’t have any intentions to kill people,” he said.
“We don-we don’t like to fight in this war, so we’re not going to fight.”ISIS is seeking to overthrow the Iraqi government in Baghdad and seize control of the region from the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG).
The United States and the United Nations say it has thousands of fighters.
