It will mark the first time the franchise has released a movie that has a female protagonist.
“It is the culmination of our partnership with Warner Bros.,” said Chris Aronson, president and CEO of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, in a statement.
“As we continue to build the company’s global reach, we look forward to sharing this movie with a diverse audience that includes many different audiences around the world.”
The movie, which stars Jason Bateman as the titular man, is based on the sci-fi novel by Michael Chabon, and stars John Goodman, Emily Blunt, Jason Sudeikis, Mandy Patinkin, Zach Galifianakis, and Kristen Wiig.
It was written by Corden, who previously appeared as the lead in the 2009 film The Social Network.
